In this vast nation, with a population in excess of a billion people, God is moving in miraculous ways. Lives are being radically changed as people accept Jesus Christ as Lord. Healings are taking place daily whilst joy and wholeness is being restored to entire families and villages.
Abraham Kakileti: Jesus For All Ministries
In a recent report, Abraham says; 'Our motto is serving people spiritually and socially'. Their ministry is now working in 30 centres with 25 full-time field staff. In showing people how much Jesus cares for them, Abraham and his team conduct medical camps in rural places and also provide rice, clothing and pensions to widows. Self help groups are organised among the women providing training and guidance in parenting. In addition to the social ministry, the church is growing at a rapid rate. 25 churches have now been established with over 3,000 Christian believers, from over 221 different villages and towns! Many people are being baptised and others being completely delivered from witchcraft and sickness. The Kingdom of God is advancing quickly as the Holy Spirit leads them to new places. Through your prayers and support the Kingdom of God is coming to India.
Peter and Nirmala Masih: South Rajasthan
Peter and his wife Nirmala work unceasingly in South Rajasthan overseeing the daily running of two schools. The schools provide an education for those who, naturally speaking, would not have been given the opportunity to study. Many of these students are given this gift through the generous support of ministries without borders in Norway. The school has been such a success and a testimony to the Kingdom of God, that again last year, they received a highly prestigious award for their work within the region.
Alongside the work into the school, Peter and Nirmala, together with many others, are ministering into remote towns and villages. The wonderful testimonies continually return of people being healed from sicknesses, delivered from evil powers and accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
‘We thank God for the hostel and surrounding boundary wall that protects and accommodates our students. We are thankful to ministries without borders for their financial help and prayerful support. By the grace of God, in addition to the primary school, we have constructed a secondary school building with teaching space, offices and a library. Your generous giving has also supported 7 full-time teachers."
"Thanks to your giving we now have fresh water, via the freshly dug wells, for our schools and hostel and we've also drilled 7 other wells to help the needy villages in our area – what a blessing!" Peter Masih
Zephry and Brenda D’Souza
At the time of writing this report, please be continually in prayer for Zephry and Brenda and their work. Persecution of the church and its leaders, even to death, continues as they make a stand for Jesus. May they know the Lord Jesus to be a strong and mighty tower around them at this time.
Chandrakant and Nilam Chavada: Gujurat
Chandrakant and Nilam Chavada, together with The Great Commission Movement, are ministering into over 17 s
tates and meeting the needs of many social situations. Thousands of people have been saved and added to the church and discipleship is taking place in over 1800 congregations under Chandrakant’s apostolic oversight.
Motorbikes have enabled young evangelists and leaders to reach local and remote areas with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Literature and audio visual material is being produced to aid in this discipleship. As part of their on-going outreach, teams of people are involved in feeding the hungry in 3 districts of Gujurat, caring for orphans and helping the widows and poor.
The Great Commission Bible School currently has 40 full-time students sponsored through various church donations. Since its inception, there has been a rapid growth in churches as students are trained and commissioned to go into the surrounding towns and villages with a message of Hope and Salvation. It is not unusual for the students, who go out in pairs, to see a church planted and thriving within 6-8 months. Led by the Holy Spirit, these young men and women are reporting back each day of wonderful salvations and miracles taking place. As ministries without borders we are privileged to be involved with Chandrakant and Nilam in sowing into the lives of these students.
